Backyard Party Rental Guide for Hamilton Homeowners
Planning a backyard party in Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Binbrook, Mount Hope, Grimsby, or Burlington? This is a straight-through checklist we walk our own customers through — how to size chairs and tables to your guest count, which games actually work in a backyard, and what to check before we roll up with the delivery truck.
We're Regis Event Rentals, a local family-run event rental company based in Stoney Creek. Delivery is our base service; setup and teardown are optional paid add-on services.
Step 1 — Count your guests, then your seats
Start with a realistic guest count and decide whether it's a sit-down party or a stand-and-mingle party. Sit-down: one chair per guest, plus a 5–10% buffer. Mingle: seating for 60–70% of the guest count. Our How Many Chairs and Tables Do I Need guide has ready-reckoner charts from 25 to 250 guests.
Step 2 — Pick your table mix
- 6ft rectangular banquet tables — food service, drinks, gifts, seating. Seats 6 (or 8 with the ends used).
- 48" or 60" rounds — for a more formal sit-down feel and easier conversation.
- Cocktail high-tops — for standing/mingling areas. Plan about 1 per 8–10 standing guests.
- A dedicated food table (or two) and a drinks table so guests aren't crowding the dining area.
See Table Rentals in Hamilton for the full lineup.
Step 3 — Add entertainment
- Lawn games (Giant Jenga, Cornhole, Giant Connect Four) — the easy go-to for backyard parties.
- Carnival games for a kid or fundraiser theme.
- A bounce house or interactive inflatable for kid-focused parties.
- Speakers or a small PA setup if you're doing music or speeches.

Step 4 — Delivery access checklist
Do a quick walk-through before you book. We use a hand truck to move chairs, tables, and game equipment from the driveway to your drop-off point.
- Gate width — 36 inches / 3 ft is the minimum for most equipment.
- Steps, ramps, or tight corners — flag any of these when you request a quote.
- Firm ground — soaked lawns can make it tough to roll heavy items.
- Bounce house footprint — clear, level, minimum 13 ft × 13 ft for standard bouncers, more for combos.
- Power — standard outlet within 75 ft of the inflatable, or add a generator ($65).
- Overhead clearance — no low-hanging branches or wires over the inflatable footprint.
Step 5 — Book early for summer weekends
Saturdays in June through September are our busiest backyard-party dates. Book 2–4 weeks out to lock in chair style, game selection, and delivery windows. Same-week bookings are often possible for smaller setups — submit a quote and we'll confirm.
Delivery, setup, and teardown
Delivery is our base service. We bring the equipment to your drop-off point (driveway, backyard gate, or patio door) during your delivery window and come back to pick it up. Setup and teardown of chairs, tables, and lawn/carnival games are optional paid add-on services you can add to your quote. Inflatables are always set up and taken down by our team for safety.
